Homepride is a UK brand of pre-prepared cooking sauces, now owned by Premier Foods, which acquired the business in 2006 from Campbell Soup Company.
Features
  • Homepride originally solely produced flour in the 1920s, but the company expanded into cooking sauces when they were introduced in 1974.
  • Homepride curry cook in sauce is easy to cook. The instructions given on the label tell you to pre-heat your oven to 180oC/350oF/Gas 4. Put 5 chicken portions in a casserole dish stir in the sauce and cook for 1hr 30 minutes stirring occasionally. The curry sauce can also be cooked on the hob which is the way we cook ours. This can be done by frying 5 cubed chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes, stir the sauce, cover and simmer for 30 minutes until tender. Stirring frequently so that the sauce does not stick itself to the bottom of your pan. This makes a really lovely chicken curry.
