- "MACKINTOSH'S MACK Toffee Crunch Candy
- Preparation: 10 min Chill: 30 min
- Only five ingredients make this recipe an easy treat for any family member to prepare!
- 1 pkg MACKINTOSH’S MACK Toffee candy (170g), unwrapped
- 1 tbsp butter 15 ml
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted 75 ml
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted 50 ml
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted 30 ml
- Tools required: Baking sheet
- Step 1:
- Unwrap toffee and place in 4 cup (1 L) microwaveable glass measure; add butter. Microwave on HIGH, stirring twice, for about 1 1/2 minutes or until bubbling.
- Step 2:
- Stir in almonds, pecans and sesame seeds.
- Step 3:
- Drop by teaspoon fulls (5 ml) onto lightly greased baking sheet. Gently flatten each with back of spoon. Chill half hour or until firm.
- Makes 22 pieces

- Nestle Kitchens Tip: Toast nuts on a baking sheet at 350°F (180°C) for 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden, stirring occasionally. Be sure to watch closely to prevent burning."
