  • Only five ingredients make this recipe an easy treat for any family member to prepare!
  • 1 pkg MACKINTOSHS MACK Toffee candy (170g), unwrapped
  • 1 tbsp butter 15 ml
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted 75 ml
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted 50 ml
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted 30 ml
  • Tools required: Baking sheet
  • Step 1:
  • Unwrap toffee and place in 4 cup (1 L) microwaveable glass measure; add butter. Microwave on HIGH, stirring twice, for about 1 1/2 minutes or until bubbling.
  • Step 2:
  • Stir in almonds, pecans and sesame seeds.
  • Step 3:
  • Drop by teaspoon fulls (5 ml) onto lightly greased baking sheet. Gently flatten each with back of spoon. Chill half hour or until firm.
  • Makes 22 pieces
  • Nutrients per serving: about 65 Calories, 1g Protein, 4g Fat, 6.2g Carbohydrates
  • Nestle Kitchens Tip: Toast nuts on a baking sheet at 350F (180°C) for 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden, stirring occasionally. Be sure to watch closely to prevent burning."
